Taylor Eskridge Family & Friends Reunion
Taylor Eskridge Family & Friends Reunion
Family, we are officially moving forward with plans for the Taylor Eskridge Family & Friends Reunion 2027, and we are excited about what is taking shape!
After thoughtful conversations and careful planning, we have confirmed our updated reunion dates and destination:
📅 July 15-18, 2027
📍 Bay Area — San Francisco and Oakland, California
This reunion has already been built on a strong foundation of ideas, planning, creativity, and family participation. Although the year and location have changed, the work already completed has not been lost. We are using it to create an even stronger, more organized, and more meaningful experience for everyone.
The planning team has been working behind the scenes to move several important areas forward.
So far, we have:
Confirmed the reunion dates and Bay Area destination
Maintained the committee structure created during the earlier planning process
Begun reviewing hotels and group lodging options
Started researching transportation throughout San Francisco, Oakland, and the surrounding area
Developed an initial structure for the reunion weekend
Created an attendee interest form to help estimate participation
Begun updating our website, forms, communications, and planning materials
Our goal is to give family members plenty of time to plan, save, arrange travel, and prepare to join us. Information about registration costs, hotel options, transportation, and specific activities will be shared as those details are confirmed.
The full itinerary is still being developed, but we are planning a weekend that balances organized activities with time to relax, explore, and enjoy one another.
Family members will begin arriving in the Bay Area, checking into accommodations, and getting comfortable. There may also be informal opportunities to connect with relatives arriving that day.
Friday will continue with arrivals and transition into our official reunion welcome. Plans may include a family meal, introductions, entertainment, games, performances, and activities designed to help everyone reconnect.
Saturday will be the centerpiece of the weekend. We are exploring outdoor spaces and family-friendly locations for a larger gathering that may include food, music, games, youth activities, family-history experiences, wellness activities, and plenty of surprises.
Sunday will provide time for final conversations, farewells, and departures. Additional informal activities may be offered depending on travel schedules.
This is only an early preview. Exact locations, times, activities, and costs are still being determined. Expect a weekend filled with family, laughter, food, culture, celebration, connection, and memorable experiences for every generation.
A successful family reunion takes more than a few planners—it takes family members willing to contribute their time, ideas, experience, creativity, and connections.
Some committees already have leaders and returning volunteers, but we still need additional support. You do not need professional experience to help. Some roles will require ongoing participation, while others may involve completing one specific task or helping during the reunion weekend.
Registration, check-in, lodging information, transportation, accessibility, and helping family members feel welcomed and informed.
Reunion activities, entertainment, youth experiences, outings, games, and the main family gathering.
Meals, refreshments, caterers, dietary needs, setup, decorations, and creating a warm atmosphere throughout the weekend.
Budgeting, expenses, registration costs, fundraising ideas, donations, sponsorships, and financial planning.
Website updates, flyers, family outreach, photography, storytelling, genealogy, memorials, and preserving our family history.
Again, you do not need professional experience to participate. Some volunteers may help throughout the planning process, while others may assist with one project or during the reunion weekend.
Maybe you are highly organized. Maybe you love food, games, travel, history, decorating, numbers, social media, or connecting with people. Maybe you have local Bay Area knowledge, vendor relationships, hotel experience, or simply a willingness to help.
There is a place for you.
Please complete the Committee Interest Survey to tell us how you may be interested in supporting the reunion. Submitting the survey does not automatically assign you to a committee. It helps the leadership team understand everyone’s interests, availability, strengths, and preferred level of involvement.
We are also asking everyone who may attend the reunion to complete the separate Reunion Interest Form. Early responses will help us plan for lodging, transportation, activities, food, space, and estimated costs.
Over the coming months, we will continue sharing updates about:
Registration and payment information
Hotel and lodging recommendations
Transportation options
Reunion activities
Volunteer opportunities
Virtual family gatherings
Important deadlines
For now, save the dates, complete the interest forms, share the reunion flyer, and spread the word throughout the family.
We are not simply planning an event. We are creating an opportunity to reconnect, celebrate where we come from, strengthen relationships, and make memories that will become part of the Taylor Eskridge family story.
We hope you will join us in the Bay Area, July 15-18, 2027!
After thoughtful discussions and prayerful consideration, we have made an important update regarding the Taylor Family & Friends Reunion.
To ensure we are honoring the health, well-being, and accessibility needs of our family, the reunion has been rescheduled to 2027 and will now take place in the Bay Area, California.
Recently, our leadership team and first-line Taylor children have had meaningful conversations regarding current health and medical considerations within the family. In light of those realities, we believe postponing the reunion by one year and relocating to the Bay Area allows us to:
Support the health and comfort of our elders and family members
Increase accessibility for key members of our family
Preserve the quality and vision of the reunion experience we are building together
We want to acknowledge and celebrate the tremendous amount of planning that has already taken place. None of that work is lost.
Instead, we now have the gift of time to refine, strengthen, and elevate what is already in motion. The foundation has been built — and 2027 will allow us to execute it at an even higher level.
This decision was not made lightly. It reflects our commitment to prioritizing family first.
Updated 2027 dates and Bay Area venue details will be shared soon.
Planning will continue in a thoughtful, organized way.
The website will be updated regularly as new details are confirmed.
We remain committed to creating a reunion experience centered on:
Cultural and heritage preservation
Wellness and generational healing
Youth leadership and creativity
Faith, family, and legacy
Joy, connection, and celebration
Thank you for your flexibility, understanding, and continued support. This reunion is about more than logistics — it is about honoring our family’s legacy while caring for one another.
We look forward to gathering together in 2027 in the Bay Area and making it an unforgettable experience.
Stay tuned for more updates.
With gratitude,
The Taylor Family & Friends Reunion Leadership Team
